How to play Build A Player
Choose carefully. Every trait is permanent, and the season remembers the holes.
Start a build
Choose Build a Hooper for an all-around player or Build a Bucket for a pure scorer. No account is required.
Read the board
Each round gives you three players from different teams and eras. Their strongest currently available traits appear on the card.
Steal one trait
Select a player, then assign one of their ratings to an open slot. The player and trait are locked after the decision. Standard games include one full-board skip; Daily games do not.
Choose the fit
After the build is complete, select one of three team environments. The same build and seed always produce the same result, so shared challenges stay fair.
Read the season
The simulator evaluates average talent, the strongest trait, and the weakest rating. It projects an 82-game record, individual statistics, playoff finish, and awards. Balance raises the floor; one empty part of the game lowers the ceiling.
