FAIR BY DESIGN

The same problem for everyone.

The Daily uses a deterministic date seed, so every player sees the same candidate boards in the same order. There are no skips. Your completed run stays on this device after the board resets.

DAILY FIELD NOTES

The same problem makes the decisions comparable.

Daily removes the standard skip and fixes the board to the date. That turns a quick builder into a controlled puzzle: every visitor faces the same candidate sequence, but the final profile still reflects how each person priced scarcity and weakness.

DATE AND MODE

The UTC date chooses the challenge

The page requests the challenge configuration for the current UTC date. A configured database record can specify the mode and seed. If no record is available, a deterministic fallback alternates by the calendar day: even dates use Hooper and odd dates use Bucket.

This fallback keeps the page playable even if the daily service is unavailable. It is not a hidden personalized board. The date, mode, round, and prior choices drive the shared deterministic sequence.

NO SKIPS

Preservation matters more than escape

Standard runs allow one full-board skip; Daily does not. An awkward choice must be managed rather than rerolled. Before selecting a versatile candidate, compare every open category that player could solve. A small gain now can create a much larger deficit later.

The best Daily decision is often a solid rating from a less flexible player. Saving the multi-category star preserves options for a future board whose other two candidates may not cover the same weakness.

CONTROLLED WEAKNESS

Choose where the imperfect number lives

Some boards will not offer an elite answer for every slot. Decide which category can remain merely good while keeping the overall average and minimum healthy. Hooper requires attention to both defensive categories and decision quality; Bucket requires a complete route from separation to conversion.

Do not flatten the identity in the name of balance. The maximum rating still adds ceiling and helps define the archetype. The goal is a visible strength without an accidental category that falls far below everything else.

FAIR COMPARISON

Share the pivotal choice, not only the score

A result card is more useful when paired with the date, mode, team fit, strength, weak link, and decisive round. Two players can reach similar overall ratings through very different profiles. One Hooper may create more assists; another may protect the paint. One scorer may win the scoring title while another creates more team wins.

Shared links encode the game payload so the run can be reproduced. They are intended for friendly comparison, not a global verified leaderboard. No account is required.

LOCAL HISTORY

Completed progress stays on this device

Daily progress is stored in browser local storage using the date. Clearing site data or changing devices can remove that local history. The site does not yet publish a permanent archive page for every date, because a useful archive needs actual boards, completed examples, and analysis rather than empty automatically generated URLs.

Download the result card or keep the shared link if you want a personal record. Do not place personal information in the link or surrounding message.

FIVE-MINUTE REVIEW

End each day with one hypothesis

Identify the strength, weakness, and closest decision. Ask whether the low trait was intentional, whether a versatile player was spent too early, and whether the team fit changed the bounded season outcome. Compare with another person solving the same date before switching to a random run.

The full Daily strategy guide explains the seed, fallback behavior, no-skip planning, fair comparison, and what a future public archive would need to contain.

BEFORE ROUND ONE

Forecast scarcity while every option is still open

Write down the candidate who appears useful in the greatest number of unfilled categories. That player is not automatically the first pick; flexibility can be more valuable later. Also predict the category most likely to become difficult. The prediction forces you to read the whole board instead of reacting only to the largest visible rating.

After the run, compare that forecast with the final weak-link label. A wrong prediction is still useful because it identifies the type of scarcity you consistently overlook.

AFTER THE REVEAL

Separate a good decision from a good outcome

A championship does not prove that every choice was efficient, and an early playoff exit does not make every choice poor. Review the rating floor, average, best trait, and deterministic variation before judging the sequence. The same discipline matters when comparing a friend's result: different team fit or different selections can change the seed as well as the completed profile.

Keep one lesson for tomorrow. Rebuilding the entire strategy from one surprising result creates noise; testing one specific adjustment creates evidence.
